Wikipedia
You could very well call this write-up "Don't Ask, Don't Tell, it's not just for the military anymore."
Wikipedia has long been a huge target for child rape advocates. Why? Because they think it legitimizes their viewpoints to have them enshrined in the user-edited "encyclopedia." It's called the Wikipedia Campaign and they've been very successful, well, until we started putting pressure on Wikipedia to bring this topic to a boiling point and due to the pedophile campaign to smear and libel pedophile sex abuse victim Justin Berry being brought to the head of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales.
BoyChat member and Wikipedia editor BLueRibbon puts it best when he stated on BoyChat.org...
With Wikipedia, there's good news and bad news.
The Good News: Long-time Wikipedian Fred Bauder has gone on a spree banning pedophile editors and a few others have been blocked, one by Wikipedia founder and overall grand poo-bah Jimmy Wales himself. That's good news.
The Bad News: Wikipedia has seemingly moved to a "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy regarding pedophiles editors. The stupidity of that policy defies all explanation.
First, they have missed a large amount of pedophiles who are still on Wikipedia that have accounts, something we detailed on our Wikisposure Project and more importantly, the pedophiles have gotten wise to Wikipedia's "solution."
Boychatter and Wikipedian editor Clayboy sums it up:
When it comes to ensuring that their work isn't completely co-opted by pedophiles who value their service merely because of how highly Google ranks Wikipedia pages, perhaps it's time to ask, or at least, note biased pro-pedophile propaganda as it comes up.
Wikipedians who have noted active pedophiles on Wikipedia have been attacked recently noting that such information is not anyone's business, backing up the belief that amongst the administrator's at Wikipedia, a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy is precisely what they're striving for.
Conditions for Removal from this category: Wikipedia needs to throw all in on the removal of pedophiles from their service. Not just throwing out those who self-identify whom they've banned already, but all self-identifiers. They also need to take a greater look at making sure their pedophilia article watch clean-up project keeps pedophiles out, as previously two members of it were pedophile activists themselves. Lastly, this is 2007 and a don't ask, don't tell... turn the blind eye policy just doesn't work when it comes to child rape advocates. Until Wikipedia finishes the job against pedophile activists subverting their service, they have to be listed at least as a Passive Corporate Sex Offender.

I did make a few edits to BoyWiki's Activism article recently, however the reason I spend so much time at Wikipedia is that their Paedophilia article is the top result for that term on Google, making it an important platform for us.

Wikipedia really frowns upon anything that could take focus away from the encyclopedic work. Everybody is discouraged from being opinionated on their user pages. Saying "I'm a pedophile" may not be an opinion, but in most people's minds it carries a bunch of opinion with it, and that makes it disruptive.
So what it comes down to is this: you can be a Wikipedia editor even if you are a boylover. You can help keep the BL-related articles bias-free. You can do great work. But you cannot say that you are a boylover. You won't be asked, either. They don't ask, you don't tell.
